Why did you become an author?

I wanted to write the book I didn't have as a teenager.

Have you ever been to the Bronx? If so, what's a favorite memory you have? If not, what do you know or think about the Bronx?

Yes! Bronx Book Festival 2018. I remember it was raining pretty hard that day, but that didn't stop BBF from putting on a hugely successful, inspiring festival. I'm sure this year will be no different. Now that I think about it, it makes complete sense that the Bronx Book Festival, more than any other book festival, refuses to let obstacles like bad weather and a *global pandemic* get in the way. #BronxStrong, right?
